Agenda Items:

A.     Approval of February 1, 2003 meeting minutes

The board approved the minutes of the March 1st meeting.

B.     Ongoing business – call for resolution

Vehicle Parking:

The proposed amendment to the covenants regarding vehicle parking was tabled at the last homeowners annual meeting, hence the current regulation is still in place: No camper, motor home, truck, trailer, boat or disabled vehicle may be parked or stored overnight or longer on any lot in open public view.

Under this regulation, truck is defined as any vehicle carrying a truck license plate.

The Zionsville code of ordinance stipulates that no trucks or tractors may be parked on roads between dusk to dawn.

It was agreed that a letter should be sent to all homeowners reminding them of the current regulation and asking anyone in violation of the covenants to take appropriate action.

The letter should also include a reminder of the speed limit within the subdivision (30 mph) and another push to utilize the http://www.huntington-woods.com/index.cfm website as the main means of communication.

Painting of subdivision mailbox posts:

A quotation was received to paint all mailbox posts within the subdivision for $700. The board agreed that it was not necessary at this point to get the mailbox posts painted. Many positive comments were received regarding the freshly painted fence along Ford Road.

Replacement of community trees along Ford Road:

Tim is following up with landscaping company regarding tree replacement.

Traffic Control at entrance to subdivision:

Mike informed the board that a letter to the Zionsville Safety Board would be required to have traffic signs posted around the entrance area. Mike offered to write a letter to the Safety Board requesting the posting of a YIELD sign at the entrance road, giving the loop road the right of way.

Mike will also ask to have the speed limit within the subdivision reduced to 25 mph and having speed limit signs posted in appropriate places.

Street signs:

Jon is requesting quotes to replace the street signs within the subdivision with more attractive signs, modeled after the street signs in the Thornhill or Enclave subdivisions.

C.     New business

Dumpster for community use:

Holger to follow up with Tim regarding getting a dumpster for a weekend for community use.

Wetlands:

Mike took the initiative to follow up on a question from a homeowner regarding the creek that runs through our neighborhood. There are several areas where the water stands, even during the driest months. The concern of the homeowner was related to the West Nile Virus transmitted by mosquitoes. Mike informed the board that the creek area was designated wetlands and grading would be practically impossible. He requested Boone County Health to come and check the creek for mosquito larvae and spray if required. Mike will respond to the concerned homeowners.
