1. 2004 Budget
Mike Latz presented
the draft 2004 budget. Assets as of December 31st were:
Checking Account $18,389.94
Reserves Account $2,579.86
Total $20,969.80
Net Income for the
year 2003 was $7,335.69.
The board
unanimously approved the budget with the addition of a line for capital
spending. The budget will be posted on the Huntington Woods website.
2. Landscaping
Contract
Rocky Mountain
Landscaping has been resigned to take care of the landscaping and lawn mowing
in the subdivision.
3. Street Signs
Mike Latz received
quotations for 1 Yield sign, 2 Speed Limit signs, 2 Stop signs and 5 Street
signs for a total of $4,420 (excl. shipping). The decision to proceed will be
voted on at a special homeowners meeting in April.
4. Sprinkler
System
Tim Isle will obtain
updated quotations for the community sprinkler system. Tom Longest offered to
obtain running cost for the sprinkler system at Fox Hollow as a best estimate
of possible running costs for Huntington Woods. Decision to proceed will be
voted on at the community meeting in April.
5. Community Meeting
The next community meeting will be scheduled for mid April. Mike Latz will make some inquiries for a suitable meeting room.
6. Newsletter
The next Newsletter will be sent out in mid March together with the quarterly dues. Ballots for the vote on street signs and sprinkler system will be included in the March mailing.
7. Architectural Review
One request for a retaining wall being reviewed by the architectural review board. It was discussed whether a time limit should be placed on architectural approvals to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. Will be further discussed when the board reviews the covenants.
8. Board Positions
Nominees are being sought for the position of president of the homeowners’ association board of directors for vote at the April community meeting. Board discussed the option of rotating the role of president amongst board members if no volunteers come forward.
9. Next Board Meeting
The next board meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, March 14th at 1 pm at Mike Latz’ house.
