After a brief discussion, it was agreed to table old business and focus on the priority neighborhood issue of mold.
It was decided that a subcommittee will be formed to specifically address the mold issue. Due to the extent of the issue, additional Huntington Woods homeowners are needed to participate in the process of researching, clarifying and communicating the numerous issues regarding mold in our community. Help will be solicited at the January 26th meeting.
The tentative date for the homeowner’s informational meeting is January 26 at the Lions Club meeting room. Tentative guest speakers include:
John McCullough-Representative of the Attorney Generals office.
Greg Laker-Attorney currently working with Brittany Chase Homeowners
Barbara Knable-Brittany Chase failed remediation homeowner with continued water intrusion issues
The possibility of including a real estate professional to discuss resale prospectus of home with past history was discussed. Tom Longest agreed to ask a personal contact to consider speaking at the January 26th meeting.
The goals of the January 26th meeting were identified as:
Clarify the role of the Attorney Generals office in helping our community resolve the mold issues.
Identify legal counsel currently involved in the dialogue with Trinity and clarify issues in the class action lawsuit
Establish a subcommittee of Huntington Woods homeowners to act as a uniform voice in communicating homeowner concerns regarding mold.
Collect and summarize neighborhood statistics to identify the scope of our neighborhood involvement and communicate this information to the Attorney Generals Office
Identify the pathway for formal complaints to each homeowner and encourage participation in the dialogue.
Determine a neighborhood plan of action
Inconsistency of findings by Trinity employed testing companies was discussed. Mike Latz agreed to research the possibility of discounted fees for homeowners in Huntington Woods through ACM engineering should homeowners desire additional home testing.
The meeting was called at 12:45.
Respectfully submitted, Lisa Tabor
